Arbor Day is a nationwide celebration led by the Arbor Day Foundation, which falls on the last Friday of April every year. The intention behind Arbor Day is to show appreciation for those forests (urban or natural) which bring our communities together and provide benefits for us year-round. At the University of Minnesota, we installed a variety of trees on the St. Paul campus to celebrate, and all were welcome to join the fun! Though belated, Arbor Day 2019 was celebrated on May 2nd.
