Arbor Day is a nationwide celebration led by the Arbor Day Foundation, which falls on the last Friday of April every year. The intention behind Arbor Day is to show appreciation for those forests (urban or natural) which bring our communities together and provide benefits for us year-round. At the University of Minnesota, we will be planting a variety of trees on the St. Paul campus to celebrate, and all are welcome to join the fun! Arbor Day 2019 will be celebrated on April 26th.
Check out the "Student Projects" page to learn more about each species of tree we will be planting this year!
